PowerSchool is up and running for parents!
We hope
you have had some time to experience our Parent Portal
(online grading), through PowerSchool. Your confidential
login and password have been mailed to your home for access.
If you have any questions with entering Power –School,
please let us know. If you have any questions about your
child’s grades or assignments, please contact the classroom
teacher directly. This can be done either by linking to the
teacher’s email in PowerSchool, or contacting the teacher
directly by phone. Communication is very important to all of
us at Central. We welcome your feedback as we unfold parent
access to PowerSchool and your child’s grades, attendance
and lunch balance information.
Emergency
Closing Information:
If there is a question of whether or not school is in
session, please listen for Community Consolidated School
District #146 in Tinley Park on the AM radio: WGN 720 and
WBBM Newsradio 780. Or on TV news: CBS 2 Chicago, NBC 5, ABC
7, WGN Morning News, Fox 32 and CLTV News, to find out if
our schools will be closed due to inclement weather or other
occurrences.
For
24 hour information on school closings, you may also call
the “Emergency Closing Hotline Center” at 1-847-238-1234.
Or, you may also log on to the website,
www.emergencyclosings.com
and enter the school name and city.
We
will also activate the School Messenger System, where we
record a message that is sent to your home phone number for
closings and other emergency information.
It
is critical to keep your contact phone numbers current with
our schools for us to have current information. If you have
any contact information that has changed since registration,
please contact Jan Collins, Central Secretary, at 614-4510 x
3803.

Thank you to all of our parents for making this year’s Staff
Appreciation Breakfast a success! On Wednesday, November 19th,
Central staff was treated to a delicious breakfast of hot
dishes, sweets, homemade delicacies and more! It was a great
way to start the day. Thanks to those of you who set up the
evening before the breakfast, helped in the morning to greet
staff with their smiles, in the kitchen, and also to
everyone who contributed to the delicious breakfast. We
thank you!
The
entire Central Middle School Staff has much to be thankful
for. We also thank you for entrusting your child to us in
our partnership of success. We all wish a
Happy Thanksgiving
to you and your families.
