RE - Career Exploration
What do I want to be when I grow up?  Why do I need to think about it now?  This 9 week class is an introduction to the world of work.  Students will be able to explore their options and plan for their future by identifying their key values, skills and abilities and the career opportunities that may be a perfect match.  Students will learn tips on finding and applying for a job, and workplace expectations.  A lesson on managing your money once the paychecks begin will also be included.

F & CS Module:
This course is a high-energy interactive experience.  With its intuitive design, this multimedia CD-ROM lets students navigate easily through the program.  It addresses multiple learning styles, and even features on-demand audio.  It is the perfect balance of multimedia, text, and hands-on problem-solving for the Home Economics student.  These modules include units in Child Care, Interior Design, Apparel and Textile Design, Nutrition, Consumer Services, Banking, Hospitality and Tourism, and Community Support Services.

Clothing and Textiles:
Students will study hand sewing, patterns, operating a sewing machine, and wardrobe selection and care.  Students will complete their own pillow project.

Healthful Eating:
Students will learn how to evaluate their diet, demonstrate proper food preparation techniques for simple recipes, use correct table settings, and follow etiquette for informal situations.
