A note from the principal…..

Our 2007-2008 school year has come to a close.  We are very proud of the success of each and every one of our students.  Our students continue to meet our expectations and have made a commitment to being respectful, responsible, and peaceful.  Thank you, parents, for entrusting your children to us during the past school year.  Enjoy a wonderful summer!  Play hard and create new family memories!

Registration for 2008 - 2009
Registration for the 2008 - 2009 school year is currently taking place.  Registration forms have been mailed and are expected to be returned by June 16th.

Summer Gym Suit and Lock Sale:
We will be selling gym suits and gym locks on: Tuesday, August 12th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.. Entering 6th grade students and new students will also be able to tour the building with an adult at those times.

Summer Office Hours:
Central will remain open during the summer most days from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.. Staff will be involved in vacations and trainings during the months of June, July, and August.  Please call ahead to the office at 614-4510 x 0, for an appointment, if necessary.

Sports Physicals for 2008 - 2009

If you are planning to participate in any of the fun sports Central has to offer this year, you will need a sports physical. Central will be offering a very complete sports physical given by a group of physicians which includes:
      * Cardiac Ultrasound
      * Vision Screening
      * Strength and Flexibility Assessment
      * Musculoskeletal Evaluation
      * Blood Pressure, Pulse, Height and Weight measurement

Date: Wednesday, August 20, 2008
Time: 11:15 - 3:15 pm BY INTERNET APPOINTMENT ONLY
Place: Central's Small Gym
Cost: $ 39.99

This one day only physical event is taking place just prior to the beginning of the school year so that students in all of the year's sports will have an opportunity to get our physical.

Here is what you need to do:
FIRST: go into the internet site www.sportlinkusa.com and hit "downloads" at the top of the page and print (3 Forms) a Sports Physical form, a History form, and a PPE & Ultrasound form.

SECOND: go back to the "Home" page to make an appointment.  Follow the prompts. Our school code is CENTMS.  Once you are logged on click on "Sign Up" and follow the prompts.
You will be asked to pay by credit card.  This is the only form of payment accepted.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT.  THE NURSES OFFICE IS CLOSED OVER THE SUMMER AND NO APPOINTMENTS WILL BE MADE THROUGH US.

This is the only time that athletic physicals will be offered at Central this year. Book your appointment early. There are only 160 appointments available. If you do not wish to take advantage of this school offered physical, one must be obtained by a physician of your own choice before your child will be allowed to participate in any interscholastic sport.
