On February 21, 2008 at Kruse Educational Center, Linda
Lessard and Angie Mulligan did a wonderful job of
representing Central and demonstrating algebraic clay
animations that were created by one of Mrs. Lessard’s 7th
grade math classes. The idea of the clay animation piece
was to capture the interest of the students, to show a
visual representation of an abstract concept and process,
and to re-create the concept and process in a product that
others could use. The students as well as the teachers did a
terrific job of highlighting the concepts that were taught
and applied. They were able to show other community members,
parents, and educators in the district how much fun can be
had while learning complicated math applications.
Congratulations on a job well done!
