Introduction

You have just received word that you are the proud owner of a canning factory began in the early 1900's,  several changes have been made in the canning process over the last century.  You must make suggestions to the board of directors  as to how to improve the present conditions at your newly owned factory.


The Task 

In three weeks you will be asked to present the history of canning,  improvements to be made at the factory, and a listing of new employees.  You may present this in an oral format,  verbal format, or multimedia format.  You will be required to put together team of researches and assistants to help you complete this task.  In order to fulfill your responsibilities please see the list of tasks to be accomplished before your presentation.

 
 



The Process 

To accomplish the task, You should begin by selecting your four other assistants.  The team of specialist should include:  2 researchers, an executive assistant,  computer technician/programer, and yourself (the owner of the company).

 1.  You will be assigned a group of four people.  You will need to decide who will do what job based on their knowledge level and talents.

2. Once you've picked an assignment for each person,  begin to decide who shall be responsible for each task outlined about.  Make sure that you are as clear as can be on who should do what in order to complete the task.

3. Each day you will have an hour to work.  Begin each day,  recapping the information each person has completed and reassess who needs to do what and how to accomplish this.  Remember you have a time frame.

4.  Decide on what type of presentation you will give  and create it once all information has been found and organized.

5.  Present your presentation.

Evaluation 

Each member of the group will be given an individual grade on their portion of the information for the presentation.  Each group will grade all other partners on their participation,  information, and cooperation and then take the average of each individual assessment.  The group will also receive a grade for the presentation and cooperation as a whole team.

Conclusion

Now that you understand what has gone into this company over the centuries,   and what it will take to make it continue,  you must decide if it should be in your best interest to continue the company or to sell the company.
