Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809 in a log
cabin in Kentucky. He had a variety of jobs until he was elected
to the Illinois legislature in 1834. On November 6, 1860 he was elected
the 16th president of the U.S. He was the president during the Civil
War and was remembered for freeing the slaves.
