• Practice the alphabet (letter recognition and letter sounds) for 10 minutes daily.

• Have a family member read a book to you.
• Complete your local library Reading Challenge.

  • Young Mathematicians
• Use everyday objects to count, find shapes in your home, or sort objects by size or color. Practice daily.

Choose 2-3 activities weekly.

• Build with blocks. Describe to someone what you built.
• Make simple patterns (clap, stomp, clap).
• Make a summer picture book and draw your family and favorite summer memories.
• Practice opening food packages/containers for lunch next school year.
• Practice zipping your coat.
• Practice writing your first name with the first letter capitalized.
• Jump, Run, Skip and Dance- move to music in your favorite way!
• Visit the Tinley Park Oak Park Avenue benches and write about your favorite bench or create a vlog documenting your experience.
• Visit the Farmer's Market and try a new fruit or vegetable.
